Mortal Kombat 12 has Officially Been Confirmed to Be Released in 2023

During a recent Warner Bros. Discovery Q4 financial call, CEO David Zaslav made a surprising announcement that Mortal Kombat 12 is in development and may be released later this year.

This news came as a shock to many, as there had been no official announcement regarding the game’s development until now.

Zaslav’s announcement came as he was discussing the success of Hogwarts Legacy, which had sold more than 12 million copies in just two weeks and generated $850 million in revenues. He stated that there was a lot more to come, including Mortal Kombat 12 and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, both of which are set for release this year with ambitious launch projections.

While Mortal Kombat 12 was teased in January 2022, this is the first time that it has been mentioned in official channels. Assuming it is being developed by Netherrealm, the statement strongly suggests that it will be released before a new Injustice game, which some fans have been eagerly anticipating.
