You are the wind on a Christmas breeze.
You make me shiver.
You demand your presence to be felt,
but you are nowhere to be found.

You are the dew on a rose’s petal.
You add glimmer to my soul.
You refresh my eyes with your gaze,
so that I look away.

You are a blanket on a cold night.
You make my heart warm.
You take me captive with your wisdom,
that all my strength fails me.

And so I sing, my love, my dear.
I will stop chasing the wind now.
You are the one whom my soul loves.
