Each step up pulled me closer to my destination. My stepladder helps me reach heights I could not achieve on my own. As I reached for new heights, I wondered about this stepladder.
Where was it before it came here? How did it come here? Did it have another family before us? How did it become our stepladder?
I had many questions, but not many answers. It wooden leave us, would it? Was it now an extension of our family? Why must I always call it my stepladder?
