One beneficial Leafy Green You’ve Forgotten to Eat & Need to Know About
If you haven’t seen this, hunt for it in your local market
You probably didn’t notice one leafy green in the supermarket, and it provides a high nutritional profile with many health benefits.
One reason why it’s probably not on anyone’s priority list might be that it’s a regular addition to dishes throughout Asia and Europe.
But, on the other hand, perhaps you have seen it and didn’t know what it was.
The leafy green I’m talking about here is the watercress.
It’s closely related to collard greens like cabbage, kale, brussels sprouts and radishes.
Watercress should be available in abundance if it’s summer on your side of the globe. But unfortunately, I have a few more months to wait for my supply.
I like to add watercress to my salads for lunch and smoothies in the morning.
It’s very high in vitamin K and C, with barely any calories.
