One Hundred Words

Autism Speaks

Autism speaks. It speaks very clearly.
In teaching Autistic children I have learned to listen.
Listening speaks too.

Connections in life are a challenge.
This is true in all relationships.
Fear of the unknown halts many.

Breaking through our barriers is the answer.
Keeping an open mind helps.
Change is inevitable always.

The goal is to assist in life.
To serve, so to speak.
A catalyst of sorts.

I choose not to mold others.
I choose to accept, then
Move forward.

We all need help moving forward-
Don’t we?
Why judge?
Why fear?
Accept and listen, learn-
Be of service.
