Just because you eat healthily doesn’t mean it should ever be bland, boring or mundane.

A lot of people misunderstand healthy eating to its core. Just because you don’t use additives like sugar, thickeners and flavour enhancements — doesn’t mean you can’t manipulate your food in the following natural ways.

  • Cooking methods
  • Spices
  • Herbs
  • Adding certain fruits or vegetables
  • Seeds, nuts and other exotic ingredients

It doesn’t have to be too expensive either.

You can always dry out your fresh herbs, make your spices and use the most seasonal produce available.

These smart ways will help you cut costs and further spread your budget.

In addition, things like nuts and seeds have a longer shelf life if you store them properly.
