Parrot

A poem about my pet parrot.

I simply wanted a cat,
But my brother said,
“No, get a bird.”
I got the bird with the foulest of language
But it only insults me.
That bird sees my daily work routine,
Calls me lazy,
And tells others about it.
It’s a bully.
My goal now is not to improve my work ethic,
But to teach it to insult others.
Hence, starts the training.
I’ve so far offered it…
