I heard about NotCoin, and ignored it — probably you did too.

NotCoin took many people by storm, and now TapSwap is ongoing.

Many claim to have made hundreds of dollars from NotCoin just by tapping their phone screens. Testimonies are all over social media.

I decided not to include what people are saying about NotCoin and TapSwap here. However, here’s a quick way to find out how people made money with NotCoin.

Go on Twitter (now X), search for two keywords:

money Notcoin

What’s TapSwap?

I did a little research about TapSwap. And I found out it has very limited official documentation you can read to help you understand what it’s all about.

However, there’s one official website linking it to Solana (Solana hasn’t debunked this association). You would see “Powered by SOLANA” at the bottom right of the website.

From scouring the internet for information, TapSwap appears to be a decentralized exchange (DEX) powered by the Solana blockchain. According to the official X handle, the Taps pool is launching on the 30th of May, 2024.

With the Taps pool launching soon, this will make the $Taps token official, and holders will supposedly be able to convert it to other tokens.

For many people, including those who claim to have made free money with NotCoin, the $Taps token — TapSwap’s token — is considered the real deal. According to the project, for every tap you make, you will get a share of the $Taps token when the pool launches.

How do you get a share of $Taps token when TapSwap distributes?

TapSwap has a dedicated Telegram handle (called TapSwap) that allows people to start tapping their phone screen. The more you tap, the higher your numbers go, supposedly representing your share of the future $Taps token.

Once on the TapSwap Telegram channel, click on “Start now!” This would take you to a page with a brown big coin you can tap with multiple fingers at the same time. You can increase the number of taps by clicking on “Boost.” Also on the Boost page, you can put the “Tap Bot” to work — this helps you tap automatically — when you’re not tapping and your energy is full.

You can also click on “Task” to complete tasks and increase your share balance by 300,000 or more.

In case you need any help, you can go back below “Start now!” and click on “Help.”

Note that this doesn’t involve paying a single cent from you. It’s free to join. TapSwap is free to tap.

Will you actually get $Taps tokens when TapSwap launches Taps pool?

From my experience in the web3 space, I’ve seen projects abandon or “rug pull” on users many times.

Here, no one can definitively answer “Yes, you will get $Taps tokens” once TapSwap launches its tokens. The project can decide to do whatever they want, and that would be it. Is TapSwap’s token the next big thing? Will people get $Taps tokens as promised by TapSwap? No one knows for sure except the owners of TapSwap.

So, I’d say don’t put your hopes too high on this. And whatever happens, learn from it and move on.

Conclusion

NotCoin was one of the unusual ways I’ve seen people made money. TapSwap is the next unusual way people might make money — if the project fulfills its promise. The 30th of May, 2024 is approaching, when we’ll find out more.
