She’s dead, her body tossed away
Like it’s nothing. Like she was — is — nothing.
Part of her is still alive. It remembers and thinks
About her time on earth, soon to pass

Her journey was cut short, too short
For all the passion and love inside of her
It blossomed only briefly but left a lasting memory
She might be invisible to most. Not to us

A childhood biased by ancient tradition
A girl fighting for her place in life
Bruised and broken, she keeps her spirit
Dreaming of a better future

Her body brutally murdered
Her soul in shock; a life flashes by
We mourn for her as we watch her recall
Fascinating, horrific, and moving moments in time

We hope she will miraculously stay alive
Bittersweet are the parts of her life she shares with us
We smile and cry, are in shock and awe
She is our captivating heroine. We love her
