To achieve anything, practice, the traditional method, still remains the most effective and powerful method. Doing things, slowly-slowly, but again and again, is called practice.

When you were a baby, you did not even knew how to stand. You practiced it slowly-slowly, again and again, then it was possible for you to stand. You did not knew how to walk, you practiced it many times, then you got to walk. You did not knew how to run, you slowly did it again and again, then you started to slowly run and after sometime it became your habit. Now they are normal to do.

When you were a baby, you did not even knew how to turn position while sleeping. But you tried to slowly do it again and again, and only then it came. You failed many times, you did mistakes as well, yet you kept doing them again and again, slowly-slowly. After sometime they became possible and easy for you, they became your habit and now they seem normal to us. This is practice! By practicing things slowly-slowly, but again and again, with time and experience they become your habit and become even normal to do them.

You see, an ant has to cover a distance of let us say 100km. Now, she would not be able to do that in a single day in a single attempt. But if she, tries to move even 1km, in a single day, then after 100 days she may cover it. It means, if she moves 1 km, every day, slowly-slowly, again and again, she will manage to cover 100 km, someday, i.e., in 100 days.

Let us see another example. A clockmaker makes a clock. The clock seems afraid. The clockmaker asks her, what is the matter? The clock replies I have to work 24*7, I have to keep moving even without taking a rest, how will I do it? The clockmaker smiled and said “Do not worry. You just do 1 tick-tock at a time, and that’s it.” The clock agreed and started doing 1 tick-tock at a time and from then on, till today, the clock is still ticking.

Suppose there is a big mansion. It has 5 floors, 10 bathrooms, 1 big terrace, 5 kitchens, 10 bedrooms, 3 elevators, and many things. But even that mansion has been made, by putting one brick at a time. And by putting one brick at a time, one after the other, slowly-slowly, but again and again, one day it became very huge.

You see doing things slowly-slowly, but again and again, even in a very little amount, can bring huge results after some time. The thing that matters is time and experience. Practicing something in a small amount, with time and experience, becomes huge one day.

People achieve so many huge things, just by this simple- traditional and yet powerful and effective method, which is practice. Whether you practice spirituality or work. Whether you practice a skill, some art, or a technique. Whether you practice, exercising, or meditating, whether you practice a game, sport, or music, it will work everywhere. The practice works everywhere, every time, and for everyone. The main thing is just to focus on the work, the thing you are doing and not on the results. Focus on yourself. That’s it. This is science of work.

Practice does not discriminate or differentiate between anyone. It does not say I will not work for you, and I will work for him. No. It works for everyone. Even a monkey becomes trained, in a circus by practicing. Practice, anyone can do it.

There is no difference between practice, hard work, and discipline. All of them come in the same category. They are triplets.

Practice=Hardwork=Discipline

There is no shortcut to achieving anything. The only way is to practice, practice, and more practice. That is hard work, that is discipline.
