Queen

Poetry — Of love and devotion

On the road, in the dirt
You found me
Made me strong, when I was weak
You crowned me
Made me king, shared your love
You surround me
In the chambers, skin to skin
You aroused me
When my hatred burned me up
You have doused me
With your pure, serene heart
You have bound me
What’s a king, without a queen?
Let the crowds see
As I renew my loyal oath
Bound by destiny
