In the epicenter of towering glass buildings in this vibrant metropolis, I — an experienced Vice President of Change Management at a global media company — sit in my windowed agile office, reflecting on my remarkable journey through the corporate world in America.

As memories click through like scenes in a slideshow, I pondered the evolution of my career.

From my first job as a bank teller in Canarsie, New York, to my application for Change Management positions after I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, I started my career tentatively. Since then, I’ve moved up and down a long and winding road.

Navigating successfully through cube farms, modern and dated conference rooms, clunky equipment, sleek technology, multiple industries, small companies, big consultancies, and multi-national firms has taught me invaluable lessons, chief among them being the power of authenticity in shaping one’s path to success.
