What is the answer to Evil?
Loving, I have found, is the only sure way out of darkness. Many will choose to debate my opinion, and some scholars will suggest that people can go through their entire lives and never love another person.
I will argue I’m not suggesting we must fall ‘in’ love, to be loving.
So much is praised and handed down as if loving is part of our everyday experience. Loving, being loving, is not part of America’s everyday experience.
The Republican Party is not a loving party. It is not a selfless party. It does not put the nation’s needs before its own.
What kind of Republican stands before a crowd of listeners and makes fun of an 82-year-old man being beaten over the head with a hammer? The listening audience laughs. Is this really today’s Republican Party? Is the lifelong member of the Republican Party a loving person? We can argue all day about policy. That’s not what I’m asking, I’m asking what the Republican Party member will do for his or her country that could be considered a loving gesture.
This is a dark time in America, and in the darkness, there is a growing infestation of something evil.
A strong nation is a nation that cares about its constitution, its freedoms, and its civil rights, but all are worthless ideals if we are never going to be a nation of loving people.
