Seasonal eating is hard when your not-so-green grocer caters to your every need. It’s a catch-22. On the one hand, consumers drive demand so avoiding out of season foods would drive down demand and stores would stop stocking them. But in reality, when you’re eating plant-based and you’re a sensitive foodie, it’s hard to walk past those bright red strawberries from October all the way to May!

Whose responsibility is it? Everyone’s of course. But there is no one-size fits all solution. I think the real problem is our tendency to search for quick fixes. And the real answer is mindfulness.
