Seeing People Again Is A Bonus

It is nice to see people in person or virtually through technology
People who become senior citizens and elderly realize that there are many people who were once important in their lives whom they will likely never see again in this lifetime. With changes that come to life, people drift apart. Friends who were close may be far away. It may be unlikely to ever catch up with them again.
That’s one good thing about social media. It is possible to stay in contact with people that you are not likely to see in person again. You are able to see what is going on in their lives and be engaged with them by sharing thoughts, pictures, and posts. The technology today is amazing and beneficial for helping people stay in contact with each other.
We were privileged to attend a gathering in Los Angeles where a good friend was being honored. It was an opportunity to see some old friends from years ago whom I had not expected to meet again in person. Sometimes opportunities appear which make it possible to see old friends.
Reunions are a good way to see people. High school reunions are normally held every five years in the beginning years after graduation. The reunions may be planned as yearly events as people get older and realize that their days are numbered. They are times to meet with old friends with whom we may have lost contact.
People who hold regular family reunions have the advantage of staying close to family members. It takes someone being willing to plan the events and contact everyone who might want to be involved.
When people get older and realize that they are closer to the end of life than the beginning, they may want to see old friends again or they may just realize that it will not be possible.
People now are unable to see friends and family much with the coronavirus pandemic raging throughout the world. Many people are getting sick and dying without family and friends being there with restrictions in place.
It is a good idea to see friends and family members when it is convenient and possible. The time will come when it is no longer a possibility. That time has come for many, especially with the pandemic.
Friends are important in life and bring happiness to people. Although it may not be possible to see them in person, the memories are there.
