You are creating too much short-form content.

People believe that humans have a short attention span.

According to Microsoft, a goldfish has an attention span of 9 seconds, while humans have an attention span of 8 seconds.

People believe you need to create short-form content to engage with people.

In the last 30 days, our short-form content generated 2,304,842 views.

On the flip side, we do an hour-long webinar at least once a month.

On average, 12,284 people sign up for each of our webinars, and only 4000 to 5000 show up.

Out of all our short-form views, we would be lucky if we could generate even one sale.

But on the flip side, our average webinar this year has produced $417,093 in revenue.

People may say humans have a short attention span, but that is mainly because they don’t care for the content.

If you put out great information, you can command people’s attention span for hours.

And yes, there is brand value for creating short-form content and an indirect ROI.

Hence, I do both.

But just because people have a “short attention span” doesn’t mean you need to create short content.
