Silent Companions
To a part of me which is dead,
To a pounding stone that resides in my chest,
To the moving marbles that gaze,
To the lost hope that remains,
To the apparently normal yet shallow brain,
To the feelings that are cold,
To the fear which I hold,
To the affections which lost their charm,
As there’s no one to keep me calm,
To all the ink that I drain,
To all the tears that rain,
You all have been a real companion.
We all come across moments where we are our only hope and generally that's the trajectory of life but that doesn't mean we should not live fully and love. These are the necessary pursuits which make life worth living as expressed in these previous poems of mine.
