Documentation is an important aspect of the product. According to the company Splunk, the documentation should be treated as a product too. So many times, I have seen companies treat documentation as less important. However, the documentation shows users how to use the product. If the documentation is inadequate, the user will be lost, and your IT ticket queue will be filled with issues the documentation can solve. I know companies that do not have well-prepared and organized documentation do not care for the users. In this blog post, I will share four methods on how you can create user-friendly documentation.

Documentation navigation

Navigation is an important part of the documentation. treat your documentation similar to your product interfaces. The documentation needs a smooth and easy user interface. For example, a user should not have to click more than three links to get to their desired information. The documentation needs navigation with no more than two or three pages deeper.
