Purpose of this article is to make better awareness of the different reasons people are not sleeping, the affect it is having on your health and what you can do to turn it all around.

Sleep is one of the most important tasks we have. Yes, I know many people say they do not need to sleep, others say they can get by on three hours of sleep a night. Yes, maybe so but when does the BODY get a chance to rest, repair and rejuvenate your organs, brain, skin, eyes, and so forth if it never gets any time to shut down some of its operating systems.

Secret #1: Make sure you are hydrated before you go to bed. Many folks refrain from drinking at bedtime to avoid needing to get up during the night. But cardiologists advise differently. A glass of water before sleeping can help to reduce the risk of a heart attack or stroke.

Drinking water helps the heart pump blood more efficiently, it may prevent strain on the heart, blood pressure, and heart rate. When a person’s heart rate and blood pressure are lower, the body is able to de-stress and relax, which helps with falling asleep faster and staying asleep longer.
