It’s in most of the USA’s red candy — Starburst, Skittles, M&Ms, Jolly Ranchers, Twizzlers and so many more.

The bright-red colored candy dye is synthetically made from petroleum.

This chemical is banned in Norway, France, Austria, Finland, the U.K, and is heavily restricted in Europe.

Probably because it causes long-term neurological problems.

Studies show consumption of Red 40 can result in hyperactivity in children. The study also mentions children have various sensitivities to Red 40.

Red 40 is linked to ADHD in children. It may be linked to migraines, allergies and mental or behavioral disorders.

Behavioral disorders are on the rise. Red 40 is consumed now more than ever — with 43% of food products marketed to kids containing synthetic dyes — I strongly believe there is a correlation between the two.
