Snow Day

The clouds are full of swirling snow

The roads are dangerous — nowhere to go

The kids are making grinning snowmen

As the setting sun begins to gloriously descend

The schools are closed again for tomorrow

Sounds of laughter and glee and none of sorrow

Roaring fires that blaze with sizzling heat

Lounging family conversing in every seat

The world stops on a winter white snow day

Work halts giving way to rambunctious play

A time of revelry so unfettered and divine

A memory encapsulated forever in time
