Yeah… That’s right…

I need some personal space … Some place where me and myself can communicate with each other.

No one is disturbing … no noise at all.

I want some mental peace.

In this age of hastiness and people having no time for themselves, let alone for others… It has become more and more important to have that connection, that bond, that time for yourself.

Yes. People are becoming more and more busy with their work, at least mentally they are.

They are in the crowd and at the same time alienated from others. They communicate but don’t emotionally engage with others. They make it appear that they are social, but in reality, they just want some time off.

Be real men.

I’m …

That is why right now I need solitude — time to recollect my thoughts and do some accounting i.e. self-accounting.

To make myself clear, I’m in no way saying that you should just shut the door up and be in your room for the whole day or more.

I’m not an advocate of this.

In fact, I believe and there is a study regarding it that socializing enhances an individual’s life and alleviates depression, anxiety, and many psychological problems (that are by the way very common nowadays).

The thing is time by time one must stop in the never ending race of life, redefine his or her values, revisit the goal he has set, and assess and compare his progression from the past self.

In short, Refuel yourself.

Afterward, recommit to your journey of life with more enthusiasm and energy.

Mistaken Belief

There is also a mistaken belief among people (the majority of them) that if one is having time off or doesn’t want to interact for the time being, he or she must be depressed or sad.

And apparently, it appears to be that way. A deadpan face is somewhat similar to a gloomy and sad face.

But, trust me that’s not always the case.

And if it is, then the person knows intuitively that others don’t have the solution to their problem.

He himself can deal with it. He himself is the problem and the solution.

That’s why sometimes a bit of silence is all someone needs.

What I Don’t Mean?

Now then, there is a subtle difference between having privacy and social isolation. Privacy or solitude is a rejuvenating and refreshing experience. Whereas, social isolation is on the extreme of a person having no will of interacting with the world at all.

That’s not good.

Since human beings are social animals, they can’t live without other human beings.

And if they are, they are more or less like living dead.

It destroys them from the inside and eventually, these kinds of individuals become emotionally numb.

Thus, having a short break is fine but relying on it and making a habit out of it is disastrous.

Final Words

I know life can be hard and stressful at times.

However, a breather once in a while can help you deal with the continuous challenges of life and replenish your energy for the upcoming battles.

Enjoy the calmness of nature or your room. And make sure that your mind is quiet and undistracted too.

Just relax and loosen up.
