The Coral Castle is an epic stone city located in Florida and it was built by Latvian-American immigrant Edward Leedskalnin from 1923 to 1951. Its complex structure contains 1,000 tons of rock, which Leedskalnin somehow mysteriously cut, shaped, lifted, and manoeuvred into place all by himself.

The Coral Castle, like Leedskalnin, is enshrouded in mysticism, imagination, wonder, awe, and skepticism. During the build, Leedskalnin refused to allow visitors or observers onsite while he was working, so there are no eyewitness accounts detailing his construction methods or personal experiences from anyone else during that 20-year window. All that remains are the epic structures that he left behind.

There were no reports of mysterious sounds coming from the vicinity of the Coral Castle during the construction phase either. There was very little in the way of construction sounds at all.

This all becomes interesting, at least to me anyway, when I begin to understand and consider the power of sound and the potential of sonic levitation.

What is sonic levitation?
