It is the most dangerous bird in the world!
It is the only bird that can kill a human with one blow!
Scientific studies reveal that cassowaries are wary of humans; however, they will inflict severe or fatal injuries if provoked.
The first recorded human death caused by a cassowary was on April 6th, 1926.
In Australia, a 16-year-old boy & his 13-year-old brother attempted to kill a cassowary bird on their property by striking it with clubs. Instead, the bird kicked the younger boy, who ran away.
The older brother struck the bird but tripped & fell to the ground, where the Cassowary kicked him in the neck, opening a half-inch wound that severed his jugular vein, causing the boy’s death.
In 1995 a cassowary kicked a dog in the belly, causing rupture of internal organs & the death of the dog from internal bleeding.
In another human death in Florida in 2019, the cassowary bird clawed his owner, a 75-year-old man, to death after falling to the ground. And yet the man raised the same bird.
