Tears of Rose

Feeling out of place

Photo by Adarsh Ik on Unsplash

In the golden cloud of regret she wept quietly
Not wanting to be there, sent there forcefully
Planted in a field of dandelions excluding her
A fine blossom she avoided she was
Sorry was the gardener’s word, leaning in to remove her
Before her thorns proved how strong she was.
