The Aftermath of War

From the lens of a journalist

Photo by João Pedro Salles on Unsplash

A thousand spurring

reminiscing cyclones

remnants of unfinished

walking alone

a journey of a thousand miles

with a camera and a mic

treading paths unknown

winding down a broken road

the lens zoom in

the remnants of a burnt town

a frozen clock

battered bodies

wailing children

scouring for their

loved ones

in a gush of smoke

under a rubble

in a bubble

we live in

the world is dark

smudged in charcoal

the shrieks are many

this is but one tale

of a town

volume one

the aftermath

of a war

amongst a host

of many

Thank you for reading :)

Avoid war, live in peace and harmony. The aftermath of war brings nothing but destruction and children are the most vulnerable. The future is in the hands of super powers. Peace to all the countries facing civil and cold wars. #PeaceforPalestine
