The cathedral features the best craftsmanship and building arts.
What we learned from the tour guide:
The official name is the Cathedral Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul. It is part of the Episcopal Church.
The cathedral grounds cover 57 acres.
The Cathedral was built entirely by donations. It receives no government support.
The architects of the cathedral include;
- George Frederick Bodley.
- Henry Vaughan.
- Philip H. Frohman.
President Theodore Roosevelt helped lay the foundation stone.
The building started from 1907 to 1990. A Gothic style displaying great height, pointed arches, ribbed vaulted ceilings, boss stones, flying buttresses, and natural light from large windows.
