The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah, was one of the first churches to cancel meetings due to the coronavirus pandemic. Leaders announced very early that meetings would be cancelled in chapels throughout the world as a safety measure.
