You begin by learning, but what you create defines you. Becoming a creator provides the edge needed to shape your best future.

Learning and creating

Many pride themselves on being lifelong learners. Few, however, think of themselves as lifelong creators. Yet the measure of a life well lived is not in what you know, but in what you leave behind.

Learning is essential, but it is not enough. The greatest lives are remembered not for knowledge, but for what they created.

Like many, learning has been central to who I am. Discovering a love of learning changed the course of my career and my life. Because my curiosity centered on people and business, I had ample opportunity to apply what I learned by experimenting in real-life situations.

Learning by itself, though valuable, would have meant little had I not applied it. Curiosity drives us to learn, but learning finds its highest purpose in creating.

The cycle feeds itself: when you apply knowledge and see results, you’re motivated to learn more. The more you know, the more you can think differently, and the more you can create.
