You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time. — Abraham Lincoln

If you have a business, you will have critics. Someone will comment about your price, your product, or your service. This may lead to self-doubt. Here is the truth — Not everybody is your customer.

Why Your Critics Do Not Matter

Mismatched Needs — If a vegan walks into your deli and complains about the lack of vegan products at the meat counter, you can discount what they say. Vegans are not your target audience.

Haters — Some people like to hate. They derive their pleasure from negativity. No matter the topic, product, or service, they will find a reason why it is bad. Comments from this sector should not influence your brand.

Attracting the Ideal Customers

Now that we have established why you should not let critics derail you, let us shift to attracting the right customers.
