The Curious Case of Benjamin Potter: Driving to a ‘Lecture’ at 2 AM.

Mr. Potter was stopped for a traffic violation!
85 -year- old, Mr. Benjamin Potter was pulled over by a police officer at 2 a.m. for driving erratically.
The officers asked him where he was heading at such an unusual hour. His response was:
“I’m on my way to a lecture about alcohol abuse and the effects it has on the human body, as well as smoking and staying out late.”
The officer asked, “Really? Who’s giving that lecture at this very early time in the morning when most folk are in their best slumber?”
Ben Potter replied, “That would be my wife.”
The kind police officer offered Mr. Potter a ride in the police car, and the second officer followed and drove Potter’s pickup truck to his home.
The officer learned much about Benjamin Potter’s life with his wife as they drove. It must have been a genuinely captivating conversation!
The officers responding to Mr. Potter’s situation didn’t press charges. Instead, they gave him a warning about safety and left their phone numbers in his truck, making it clear that they were there to help if he needed any assistance.
