The Elephant Whisperer: My Life with the Herd in the African Wild

The book:

I read the story about Lawrence Anthony, the South African conservationist, environmentalist, explorer, and bestselling author.

He was a remarkable person who dedicated his life to preserving our planet’s wildlife.
For a long time, he served as the head of conservation at the Thula Thula Animal Reserve, working tirelessly to protect and care for animals.

But that’s not all; he founded The Earth Organization, a global group focusing on conservation and environmental issues through scientific research. His legacy inspires many, and his contributions to the world will always be remembered.

Lawrence Anthony wrote a fascinating book called “The Elephant Whisperer” in 2009.

In his book, Lawrence Anthony recounts the story of a group of elephants that arrived at the Thula Thula game reserve in 1999.

These elephants had previously lived in a different reserve but had learned to break through the electric fence and escape.
This caused problems as they destroyed crops and were vulnerable to being killed by anyone. Unfortunately, the oldest elephant was eventually shot by humans.
