Along with most of France, yesterday, I got on a subsidised train and went in search of Culture. The “Journees du Patrimoine” take place over a weekend in September every year. All museums are free; events are put on for children and experts are dusted off to give talks or lead tours to places otherwise closed to the public — it’s a celebration of the Arts, History and Culture’
