The amplified voices of dedicated professionals like me and writers like Linda Kekelis continue to advocate for family engagement in education.

As a researcher and family engagement influencer, there are some things about this subject matter that I know for sure. When parents and educators build authentic partnerships, the learning outcomes for students become more robust. When teachers, school leaders, and other educators build genuine and meaningful relationships with the parents they serve, these mothers and fathers will partner with the school. The result is that teachers, school personnel, and parents become a dedicated team that supports the overall educational experience for their students.

While more teachers and parents recognize the potential and the power of the collaborative spirit between home and school, more information and knowledge that pertains to this often-overlooked educational arena needs to be shared.
