The Fear of Failure
Do not let the fear of failure be the reason for your failure
You’ll never make something of yourself. Not this way.
It’s that simple. stop trying. Those long, wasted nights. The coffee stains on the paper. The yawns from lack of sleep. Signs of effort. Of struggle.
Inspiration is an arrow cutting through the night sky. To pluck it out of the air requires either extreme luck or extreme skill. Just like that it’s gone, leaving you deflated as you wait for the next projectile.
Stop trying to catch it.
You’re being too precise. Too safe. To catch inspiration for your ideas as they come is a spotty strategy at best. Let me ask you a question friend. I want you to be honest.
Are you willing to risk your comfort for your dreams?
Stand in the path of that arrow, arms outstretched. Let it do its damage. Execute on that idea. Fail, feel that burning pain, and then go fail again. Do not let your inspiration pass simply because you fear consequence.
Stop trying
You only fail when you fail to act. You owe it to yourself to see how far you can go. This is all you have. This moment in time. Act. Act on your dreams before they turn to dust, because if they do, you’ll end up wishing you disintegrated with them.
Stop thinking.
