Choose yourself.

Or so teaches the book I randomly picked up on the way home while strolling through the magazine shop at the train station.

The way to happiness seems to be a simple choice: prioritise yourself, be authentic and chase your dreams.

What is wrong with our current life that we have to be reminded to take care of 𝑜𝑢𝑟𝑠𝑒𝑙𝑣𝑒𝑠?

We are too busy extinguishing fires at work and navigating the ups and downs of the roller coaster called life. Batteries drained, too tired to do a workout or yoga session, too impatient to look up a recipe for a healthy meal. Ironically, I would go so far to say that most of us know perfectly well those things are good for us.

Constantly chasing high performance and making everyone else around us happy, we feel too guilty to refill our own cup first. I say no more! I am setting a reminder for the both of us.

➝ To commit everyday to a pinch of healthy selfishness.

➝ To acting on our needs first before committing to others.

➝ To know our boundaries and define them.

➝ To say no, instead of pleasing people.
