The Great Resignation is a Great Opportunity
It's a win-win scenario
People have a right to quit, and they should. I don't blame them for raising their middle fingers at management. Who would recommend that people stay where they're unhappy? Only savages expect someone to accept shitty pay, inadequate benefits, and a crappy boss.
My suggestion? Quit!
I say this with confidence because I believe great companies will find ways to thrive. Sophisticated owners understand how to make their employees jump for joy. It's in their best interest to pour into top performers and send lazy bottom feeders to the unemployment line — not by their choice.
The great resignation will lose top talent but also purge poor performers.
There's a disturbing narrative brewing. Employees choose to leave because their asinine bosses make them unhappy. The pay isn't enough for the trouble. They find more joy binge-watching Netflix series. They elect to cut expenses rather than deal with poor leadership. Why not live with less rather than stress for more?
It's a bleak outlook, but there's another perspective.
