dressed as a fakir
you were as mighty as god
one indication of yours
and the masses heeded to your call

truth and non-violence
the ways you taught
a flame braving the tempest
you are still a light in our hearts

just the one among equals
removing the barriers of religions and castes
walking shoulder to shoulder with women
you matched and acknowledged their power

you were a human and you had to die
but even in your death you smile
unveiling the anger and cruelty in this world
perhaps you were not good enough for this world
