The Haunting Tale of a Bride at Red Coach Inn
Niagara Falls has been known since the 1920s as the Honeymoon Capital of the World but it has its secrets.
There have been many tragic deaths at Niagara Falls where on average 40 people a year commit suicide, which equals over 6,000 deaths since about 1865.
There have been other deaths like the overcrowded trolley that derailed and went over the gorge in 1915, a tragic accident killing 11.
You could say that the water represents a pool of tears.
Then there is the ghostly story, which is about the honeymooning bride that haunts the Red Coach Inn.
The Red Coach Inn opened on August 30, 1923, as a bed and breakfast. Over 100 years ago, this tudor-style building was built in the English Tudor period and was styled after the Bell Inn in Finedon, England. Built above the upper rapids on the U.S. side of Niagara Falls with stunning views of the water.
