Relationships tarnished
making you famished,
with me skulking,
at the back
of your mind
rusting; waiting
for you, to
have that stroke
of insight,
for I am that key
to close your box
of plight!
Which you never use,
who could cut you loose
from this noose
of blame-game;
and help you frame
that dame
in your heart,
and befriend
your lost friend;
making amends
with the father who’s
not your fiend;
all you have to do
is start using,
the simple little key
of listening!

Thank you for reading!

This is based on the last prompt of the prompt challenge ‘key’ and also a prompt that I missed at the beginning of this challenge — ‘listen’.

Also Amy Marley’s poem on key was the inspiration behind this.

With this, we come to an end of a month long challenge. It was a wonderful literary month alongside creative writers — Amy Marley, Rasheed Hooda, Indra Raj Pathak, Bob Jasper, who took up this challenge. This challenge was the ‘key’ in opening all my creative doors; especially poetry. I learnt about various genres during this challenge. As someone new to the craft of writing, it really helped me hone my craft, improve, learn and explore, and I’ll continuing doing the same.

A big thanks to Amy Marley once again — you have a huge role in this. And also Dr Mehmet Yildiz for sheltering maximum of my writings in this challenge.

The writings of my fellow writers, based on this challenge, one last time:
