Is the philosophical concept of the law of attraction real? The answer is yes and no. Let me explain to you why. The law of attraction suggests that positive thoughts bring positive outcomes. But it isn't that simple. In reality, the law of attraction stems from the peculiar wiring of our brain.

To understand it, let's dive into the Baader-Meinhof phenomena :

Have you found yourself noticing something and then you see it everywhere? Whether it is a new word, a dog breed or just about anything. It is because you became aware of it recently even though you knew it subconsciously or in the back of your mind.

Why is your brain playing tricks on you?

Why is it that you read a book and now you see citations and quotes everywhere?

Or when you buy a car and then unexpectedly see the identical car model everywhere.

It is because your brain is wired that way. When new information is introduced to your brain and you take interest in it, the information is marked as an "important file" which is then saved to the desktop or the forefront of your memory. So, the information stays in the front of your memory for a while and you keep spotting it frequently in your surroundings.

Now, how is this phenomenon relevant to the philosophy of the law of attraction?

When you keep your goals in the front of your mind, you'll see more ways to accomplish your goals. It isn't just a coincidence, luck or even the law or attraction. It's your brain!

You should give that little guy more credit than you do. In conclusion, the law of attraction does exist but it doesn't work the way we think it does.
