The Love Of Material Things…

What has caused this insatiable urge for material things among teenagers and young adults? We have a generation of young people who can do anything for money. Their desire for Money and instant success is alarming.

Their love for shiny things is concerning. Their need to prove to others and themselves is beyond me. When we were growing up, money was the last thing on our minds. It didn’t bother me when I didn't have certain things. What I see now actually scares me. This incredible need for money — lots of money in a flash, without working for it. Wanting to show off to others and their friends is becoming an even bigger problem.

When I remember my teen years, as long as I had a good book to read, I was happy. Life was simple then, and I grew up wanting to work hard and better myself. I see children who do not want to work but want the finer things in life at the click of a button, and when they are pretty - many young children.
