In my previous gaming stories, I briefly went over the idea of lore. In this post, I will discuss it in greater detail and explain why it’s important for game developers and gaming entrepreneurs based on my experience.

What is lore in gaming?

Lore is a term that refers to the body of knowledge, stories, and traditions that are passed down from one generation to another. It is a type of folklore that is associated with mythology, legend, and fantasy.

Lore can take many forms, including myths, legends, fables, fairy tales, and folklore. It can be found in many different cultures and is often used to explain the origins of things, such as the world or the human race, and to provide moral lessons and guidance.

One of the most well-known examples of lore is Norse mythology, which includes stories about gods and goddesses such as Odin, Thor, and Loki.

These traditional stories have been passed down through generations and have become a part of popular culture.
