The One Reason Why I Would Like a Two-Week Hospital Stay

Nobody wants to be sick, nor would they like a hospital stay.

What most people complain about in hospitals is the food.

Oh, boo-hoo. It’s not there to be a gastronomical experience. It’s there for nutrition and calories.

If hospitals were run by the airlines, there would be no food.

So quit complaining. Bland food is what salt and pepper are for.

In my part-time job delivering pharmaceuticals to hospitals and rehab centers, I see patients watching a lot of TV. There wasn’t a TV in my house until my Mom moved in, but it’s in her bedroom, so it’s not my TV. So, if I were in the hospital, maybe TV would be a novelty for the first couple of days, but then I’d grow weary. I know this about myself.

The next time I see being in the hospital is when my good knee needs a replacement. Or my knee replacement knee, which took place in 2004, needs a new replacement. Or it may be my left hip. They’re all going.

The thing about that kind of hospitalization is they want you back on your feet as soon as possible — they being the insurance companies. They want you out of there. And these days, since everyone is so…
