It’s simple; Identifying your core values means living your best life.

Successful individuals, organizations, collectives, and families all have one thing in common: they’ve identified their core values. What’s more, they live them out.

What about you? Be honest and try to answer these [hard, uncomfortable] questions:

  1. Can you clearly articulate your top three core values without hesitation?
    [That’s the awareness question]
  2. Do your daily actions consistently reflect these core values?
[Say hello to the tricky alignment question]
  3. Are your core values the primary guide when you’re faced with difficult choices?
    [Finally, the decision-making filter question]

If you’re still reading, I’ve got three activities that will support you in finding your core values. Buckle up.

First Activity — the 20-minute keynote

Sit down with a quill or your laptop and craft a 20-minute keynote on absolutely any topic… this will be your last opportunity to speak before you die. What will you exit this world saying? Whatever you come up with will likely be linking to your core values. Take notice.
