It’s simple: control your life, or be controlled by it. The decision is yours alone. Which will you make?

Where is your power?

If you can’t control yourself, how can you control anything else? Every success, every breakthrough, and every achievement begins with you. Until you master yourself, life will keep slipping through your hands, no matter how hard you try to hold on.

Have you ever tried to control someone else? It rarely ends well. As a parent, you can influence your children, but your control over them shrinks as they grow. As a boss, you may direct employees, but only within certain boundaries.

The truth is, your power over others is always temporary and limited. Worse, seeking complete control over another person isn’t just impossible, it’s wrong. But there is one realm where your dominion can be absolute: yourself. The deeper question is, how well do you rule your own life? The Italian polymath Leonardo da Vinci captured it perfectly over 500 years ago when he wrote: “You will never have a greater or lesser dominion than that over yourself.

What do you truly rule?
