The Simple Formula for Success in Maintaining Balanced Mental Health With Journaling
Here is the reason why I am obsessed with journaling!
So, are you a journaling person?
I believe, you are. Or at least aware of it.
Well, journaling is quite simple yet its underlying phenomena are complex. And it’s been a year since I started journaling. I know, this is not a huge time but yes! in this one year, all the interesting things that have happened to me after I started journaling are something I believe worth sharing.
My journaling journey started after I was recommended by a mental health consultant when I reached out to her for help. At first, I thought, this would be really a stupid idea to write what I feel. But I must tell you, I am thankful to her that she insisted.
Soon, this stupid idea of writing became a part of my daily routine. It is a part of my morning ritual just like any other thing that I do after I wake up.
Today, I will be sharing my one-year journaling journey and everything that I noticed after I started it. So, here it goes:
Helps me tackle emotions
When it comes to emotions, I believe, I am still not good at this. And earlier, I was the worst. Well, now I cracked a formula for it. Since the first day, I started journaling, I have noticed that I am getting better at it, gradually. Even though I need to work more on it but yes, it helped me a lot in tackling my emotions.
The better expression of my thoughts
I will tell you what, earlier, I used to have a problem with making people understand what I am thinking or what exactly I want to say, but after journaling, not the same anymore. It has been changed. Now, I can make my thoughts clear in front of people.
Helps me better express my words
Now that my thoughts are clear, I can express myself better in front of everyone. So, I believe, journaling helps me in expressing and framing my words better.
Recovery from any trauma
Remember, I told you that I went for professional help. Because I had a mental breakdown. After journaling, I noticed that I am healed. I don’t yet know how, but yes, I did. And obviously, I don’t feel a heaviness inside me anymore.
Help boost my productivity
Well, this is the interesting part of my journaling. After I started it, I noticed that I am more productive for the whole day. That might be because of all the frequent thoughts that I come across, I already have written them on paper which is why I don’t think and waste my time about them later in the day as a result, I can focus on my work better. And this is the reason I love journaling to be included in my morning routine.
Bottom line
I couldn’t see any negative side of journaling yet. Everything that I have noticed, falls on the positive side of the scale. I believe, journaling is helping me become better, a better person. So I am very in love with this habit. What about you?
