The thing that I am

A poem about who we we’re supposed to be

Photo by Stefano Pollio on Unsplash

The thing that I am,
Better the boy
Than ever the man.

I would, could have, should have,
Maybe, taken my time
And answered myself
Instead of looking for signs.
