The Tomorrow List

So I Don’t Have to Think About It Today

While there are multiple lists for various projects, not all things that need to be done make the tomorrow list.

Clearing Mental Clutter

Getting my lists out of my head and onto paper goes a long way to calm my mind. I don’t have to keep thinking about things that are not on the table today nor worry about not remembering tomorrow. It’s black on white, or whatever your color combination for pen and paper may be.

High priority items go on my calendar too for greater emphasis and certainty that they will be seen and get done. An additional reminder notification in my i-phone may also signal extra high priority.

While there’s a variety of to-do list methods including digital task managers, I am still old school: a pen and paper list. There’s something cathartic for me about physically writing it out.

When planning big projects or events, I break the multitude of tasks down by months with monthly lists and then there’s the-week-before-the-event lists: Monday List, Tuesday List, Wednesday List, and so on. Creating and utilizing these lists has saved my sanity for sure.
