The cherry blossoms are blooming

The Utah State Capitol in Salt Lake City is now graced by cherry blossoms as spring has arrived. The protests and demonstrations are gone for now. It is a peaceful place where people can come to enjoy the beauties of nature.

The Capitol has been the favored location for people to express their opinions along with their hate and vitriol. They have gathered there with megaphones and crowds to protest this and that. Sometimes they needed a police presence because they became unruly and riotous.

Black Lives Matter protests brought out a heavy police presence at the State Capitol on several occasions as demonstrations were held. Police were sometimes there in smaller numbers at other protests.

The year 2020 brought groups of people to the Capitol steps at various times. It was a place for people to congregate to make their feelings known about…
